Willy Wonka, a man full of dreams and ideas, travels to Europe to realize his dream of owning his own chocolate factory at the Galeries Gourmet. But his plans are thwarted by Mrs. Scrubitt and her henchman Bleacher, who take control of him with a deceitful contract. When Wonka refuses to pay the exorbitant fees, he is captured and forced to work in a laundry. With the help of Noodle, an orphan girl also working in the laundry, Wonka manages to escape and form a new friendship. Together they embark on an adventurous journey to save Wonka's dreams and take on the unscrupulous machinations of the "Chocolate Cartel". In the process, Wonka discovers not only the secrets of his own past, but also the true values of friendship and solidarity.
Wonka, like the Paddington films is something special in its own right, a labour of love from a team who have spared no expense or effort to give us all a Christmas treat. So come along one and all, bring the grandparents or the grandkids. (Jake Wilson, The Age (Australia))
