Regie: Tom Gormican Schauspieler: Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal, Tiffany Haddish 107 Minuten |
Legendary Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage seems to have reached the end of his career. After losing a leading role, he decides to hang up his career and accept a tempting offer from his agent instead. He is to meet billionaire and Nic Cage superfan Javi Gutierrez in Mallorca for a million dollars. At first, he is annoyed by the latter's clinginess and his constant attempts to convince Cage of his movie script. But as time goes by, they find a common interest in their favorite films and through his new friend, Cage is in demand again as an actor. Just then, Nicolas Cage is contacted by two CIA agents who inform him that his new friend is a feared criminal and kidnapper. Cage is not convinced of this, but decides to help the CIA anyway. When Gutierrez flies in Cage's ex-wife and daughter, however, Nicolas Cage is no longer just acting for his own life.
Rather nutty, kind of sweet and genuinely funny. (Leigh Paatsch, Herald Sun (Australia))
