It’s good to be bad

What to do when a supervillian shows up at your doorstep and you have nothing which can beat him? The government’s plan is simple but brilliant: put together a team of the most dangerous criminals around, the worst of the worst, those people that really should not be allowed to interact with society, but instead be locked up far away forever – and send them against the new threat. And when they inevitably fail, they provide the perfect excuse, someone to shift the blame to.

A mix-match team, the members of the “Suicide Squad” have only two things in common, they are all bad, and they are all dangerous.

While the government exerts leverage on them to take part in this apparently suicidal mission, they must decide whether to use their deadly skills against the government, each other, or whether they can bind together to face this new, most deadly opponent.

A rowdy, rambunctious, entertaining flick that strikes the perfect, slightly-darker tone the DC movies have been grasping for to set them apart from Marvel. (Suburban Journals of St. Louis)

It's explosive, preposterous, exhilarating and like all the best films based on comic-book characters, doesn't take itself too seriously. Indeed, there are more than a few laugh-out-loud moments. (Daily Mail UK)
