21. Mai: A Complete Unknown (OV)

In 1961, the 19-year-old musician Bob Dylan comes to New York with a guitar and big questions. Between narrow clubs, smoky stages and the turbulent folk scene, he is looking for his place in a world that has clear expectations, while something of his own has long been growing within him. What initially looks like a quiet beginning quickly develops its own force: performances become statements, songs become attitudes, attention becomes a pressure that is hard to escape.

The closer the young artist gets to a breakthrough, the more recognition and self-assertion collide. Because anyone who discovers a new voice also has to decide whether they want to let themselves be shaped or go their own way.
