22. April: Anora (english)

A modern day Cinderella

“Anora” is a modern fairytale that blends the raw energy of Brooklyn with the opulent world of Russian oligarchy. The film follows Anora, a determined young stripper whose life takes a remarkable turn when she impulsively marries the son of a powerful oligarch. In one breathtaking moment, she steps into a Cinderella-like dream, where the promise of a glamorous new life shimmers on the horizon.

"Anora may be the clearest example of class solidarity put to film in recent years." - Griffin Schiller (rottentomatoes.com)
